    On 5/21/24, we hosted Linda Murphy for a discussion on Declarative Language. Linda is a speech language pathologist and RDI® Consultant. She co-founded Peer Projects Therapy From the Heart, a clinic in Beverly, MA dedicated to helping kids and families by using a positive, thoughtful communication style that emphasizes understanding, patience, respect, and kindness.

  • The New IEP Explained

    On 4/9/2024, we hosted Nancy Koch, APS Executive Director of Special Services. Nancy reviewed the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) new IEP process. She explained the IEP’s new focus, the roles of all team members, how the new IEP will be rolled out, and the role of the student.

    On 3/12/2024, we welcomed Dr. Golden to speak on the topics of Executive Functioning and ADHD.

    Dr. Golden has always been inspired by helping people learn, heal and grow and he is fueled by a vast array of academic, and professional and personal experiences. Dr. Golden has a long list of credentials including: BS, Criminal Justice, MEd, Intensive Special Needs, Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (BCBA-D), and Psy.D Clinical Psychology and has over 15 years experience working with diverse audience across many settings.

    On 12/12/2023, we hosted Andrea Morris, the Director of Family Supports at The Arc of Greater Haverhill-Newburyport to discuss Transition Planning. She discussed transition timelines to help prepare students for the world beyond secondary education.
